Smart homes in Brentwood.

Whole-property automation, media rooms and networks that actually reach the guest house, for canyon estates and Brentwood Park new builds.

Brentwood properties rarely stop at one building. There is the main house, then the guest house, the pool pavilion, sometimes a studio over the garage, all spread across a lot that climbs a canyon or hides behind hedges in the Park. The technology brief follows the property: one system that covers every structure, a network that does not fade at the pool, and control simple enough that the whole family and the household actually use it.

One system across every structure

We design for the whole parcel from the start. Fiber between buildings, enterprise Wi-Fi tuned for stucco, stone and distance, and a single Savant interface that treats the guest house as part of the home rather than a separate project. Music follows you from the kitchen to the pool, gates and cameras sit on the same screen as the lights, and when something needs attention, we usually know before you do.

What Brentwood homes ask of us

  • Estate networking: fiber between structures, Wi-Fi that covers the canyon lot edge to edge
  • Whole-home control: Savant and Lutron scenes for family life, entertaining and travel
  • Media rooms: family cinema and distributed audio that hold up to real daily use
  • Security and access: gate intercoms, discreet cameras and monitoring across long driveways
  • Ongoing care: remote monitoring and priority response for every system we install
On new builds in the Park and remodels in the canyons alike, the best results come when we join early, while the low-voltage plan can still be drawn rather than patched.

From Brentwood Park to Mandeville Canyon

The Park and the Flats south of Sunset are formal, wide and increasingly new construction, where the work is lighting and shading large glass elevations and wiring the property properly before the walls close. Up Mandeville, Kenter and Sullivan Canyon the lots stretch, the gate sits a long way from the front door, and cellular coverage gets thin, which turns networking, cameras and connectivity into an engineering exercise rather than a shopping list. In Crestwood Hills the post-and-beam houses leave nowhere to hide equipment, so speaker and keypad placement is settled on the drawings, the way the architecture deserves.

And because these are family neighborhoods, the systems have to work for everyone: kids, grandparents, the nanny and the housekeeper. We set up simple, limited profiles for the household, keep the complexity in the rack, and leave the owners with one calm interface instead of eleven apps.

Questions we hear in Brentwood

Can one system cover the main house, guest house and pool area?

Yes, that is how we design from day one. Buildings are linked with fiber, the network is planned for the whole parcel, and every structure appears in the same interface with the same scenes and permissions. A guest staying over gets a simple profile, not the keys to the estate.

Wi-Fi barely works at the back of our lot. Can that be fixed?

Almost always. Canyon lots and deep parcels need engineered coverage: wired access points in the right places, outdoor-rated hardware where the ocean air and sprinklers live, and a wired backbone instead of consumer mesh hops. We measure, design and verify, so coverage reaches the pool and the studio, not just the kitchen.

Our home is finished. Can you add automation without opening walls?

In most Brentwood homes, yes. Lutron wireless lighting and shades, retrofit-friendly audio and a properly rebuilt network go in with minimal disruption. Where walls do open during a remodel, we sequence our work with your contractor so wiring happens once, in the right week.

Do you coordinate with our architect and builder on a new build?

That is how most of our Brentwood Park projects arrive. We produce low-voltage drawings that fit the plan set, attend site meetings, pre-wire before drywall and hand over labeled racks with clean documentation any future trade can read.
