Rebuilding? Plan the wiring before the walls close.

Rebuilding a home is exhausting, and technology is nobody's first concern. It also happens to be the one part of the project that is nearly free to get right now and painfully expensive to fix later. While the framing is open, every wire costs almost nothing to run. The week after drywall, the same wire means opening finished walls. Our job is to make sure that window is not missed.

What we handle on a rebuild

• A low-voltage plan drawn to fit your architect's plan set: network, audio, video, lighting control, shades, cameras and access
• Conduit and cabling before drywall, on the builder's schedule, inspected and photographed before the walls close
• Resilience where it matters: wired smoke and safety integration points, camera coverage, and a network that keeps working when the internet flickers
• Finish work after paint: keypads, speakers, access points and racks, installed clean
• One documented handover, so your GC closes the project without loose ends

Working alongside your builder

We slot into the construction sequence rather than disrupting it: rough-in when the electricians are in the walls, trim when finishes go in, commissioning before move-in. Your architect gets drawings that match their format, your GC gets a sub who shows up on schedule, and you get one fewer thing to manage. If you are further along

Plans finished? Framing done? There is still time for most of it, and we will tell you honestly what is worth doing now versus later. Even post-drywall, a good network, Lutron wireless lighting and shades, and cameras can be added cleanly. The earlier we see the plans, the more options you keep.

Common questions

When in the rebuild should we bring you in?

At design, ideally, when the architect is drawing electrical. That is when speaker positions, keypad locations and conduit runs cost nothing to decide. Second best is before drywall. Either way, send the plans and we will tell you where you are in the window.

Will pre-wiring slow the construction schedule?

No. Rough-in takes a few days and runs parallel to electrical. We coordinate directly with your GC so our work rides their schedule, not the other way around.

What should every rebuild include, at minimum?

Conduit to key locations, network cabling to every room and camera position, wiring for shades and lighting control in main spaces, and speaker wire where you may ever want music. Our pre-wiring checklist covers the full list, and it costs a fraction of what any single retrofit would later.

Do we have to decide on all the technology now?

No, and you should not. Wire and conduit are cheap insurance; equipment decisions can wait until finishes. We design so that what goes in the walls today supports whatever you choose next year.
